CARING FOR YOUR SILK GARMENTS
Some silks are washable, others dry cleaning is recomended - check the label to make sure!
If the item is washable, hand washing may be best - the label will usually tell you - use a mild detergent suitable for delicates and lukewam water.
Never scrub, soak, boil, bleach or wring. Squeeze out excess moisture by rolling up in a towel and hang out to dry.
If you use a washing machine make sure the programme is for delicates at a temperature of 30 degrees or less and a very short, light spin.
Press on the wrong side with a warm iron when slightly damp to get any creases out. Don't use steam or spray with water as this wil leave a water mark. If you do get a water mark, just dip in warm water for a couple of minutes and dry again.
